Cauvery Nisargadhama

 

Its a picnic spot near Khushalnagar in Kodagu district an amazing  Island formed by the Kaveri river at a distance of 30 km from Madikeri.
To enter Nisargadhama we have to pass through a hanging rope bridge. This place is really awesome. I could see lush Bamboo grooves, teak and sandal wood trees.There is a small play ground for kids. Have to say this is a forest garden with full of tress, Deers, elephants, rabbits and more :P
6 p.m is the closing time and we just made it in there just in time.The surrounding was pitch dark and I couldn't spend more than 15 minutes inside Nisargadhama.
Missed boating, an Elephant ride and other fun stuff.Was able to see Deers in dark though.My friends and the security guards of the park were concerned about our safety so we decided to leave.According to me this is the best place I had been, nothing short of a jungle and it got on to my nerves.

A day was spent and we had a day more left!
There were two more place left to see, "THE famous DUBARE Forest" and the golden temple. We were not sure whether we should spend one more day in Coorg or to visit Mysore.Later it was decided that we should visit Golden Temple the last place in Khushalnagar then to Mysore and Brindhavan Gardens :) Yet I do suggest that one shouldn't miss an Elephant ride in the jungle of Dubare forest.I was not all that lucky though.

 Well we just hurried to golden temple as it was night and we were a hungry Lion.The sight of the golden temple did relax my mind. Its sort of a trance moment in which time stands still and I was gazing something so lovely as if its not belong to this world and in fact a dream!!The golden temple stands unconventionally beautiful.The walls and roof of the temple are decorated with beautiful paintings.I did get a feel as if I'm in the Tibetan town.The Monastery is home for the Tibetans under exile.
The temple is royal, majestic, rich and very colorful with three huge Buddha statues looking down the altar. The 2 dragon pillars just in front of three Buddha statues is eye-catching.Well couldn't get the right pictures even with flash. Its was really a starry night and inside it was kinda dark.Was cursing my Canon 550D. Did capture dragons as my darling brother is very much fond of dragons.










Journey to MYSORE


We did call it a night.It was time for us to rest our feet and hit the bed.The gals were so tired they slept tight and started the day at 9.30 a.m against 6.30 a.m as previously decided.Since it was morning I could see beautiful landscape covered with heavy fog and mist.To my left and right through the cab's window I could see coffee and spices plantation. These estates are real huge and for a moment I got a feeling that the estates are indeed forests. The day was really cool and awesome with the sick trees from the thick forest vegetation were sneezing wind at me :) Yay!! so much wind, so much fun.
All of a sudden we came across two huge elephants on a highway.I was really so thrilled and felt extremely lucky as I missed seeing an elephant the other day.I jumped out of the car with excitement and joy and in the next moment I was with the elephant.Did try to make a video but didn't had enough time as we were already late and did manage to get a video of 2-4 secs.

 We took few snaps and were again on the road in search for a restaurant for our late breakfast.
